We're Thinking Recital Time!

pepe805

The sign-up sheet for you to pick your time at the recital is in your inbox. With recitals happening at 10:00 am, 12:00, 2:00, 4:00 and 6:00, it sounds as though you have lots of options. However, different teachers are assigned different times, so look for your teacher's name and put your name there. We are counting on YOU to put your name there, even though we understand it would be easy for the teacher to just fill in all their students. Please check your email and use the link to get to the appropriate page.

Pictures

Please submit a digital photo of your student to fortelessons@gmail.com, sometime this month. It may be a head shot, full body, serious, or silly. It will be projected on the wall while your student is playing which should steer you a little bit. If you don't have one on your phone already, look for a lovely day & take one in the backyard. Make it a March goal but we will be happy to take pictures of students as they come for lessons for anyone who does not submit before April 4.

Cover Contest

Some of our students are fantastic drawers and will be interested in participating in the contest for the cover of the recital program. If that's your student, please remind them to pick up a form from their teacher. Entries are due no later than March 28. Stipulations and guidelines are included on the forms.

Siblings

A few of you have told me you have siblings or other children in the family who are interested in getting a spot for lessons next fall. Now is a great time to be making those arrangements. I really appreciate the notice now and it ensures there will be a spot for you.

Spring Break

Do you already have on your calendar that there are no music lessons the last week of March-- 24-28? This is our spring break and this year does not coincide with Easter.

Continuing Lessons

Some have mistakenly thought that once the recital is done so are lessons for the year. This is not true! June is the last of our 10-month school year. It's possible you may have 36 lessons in by the first week of June if you haven't been impacted by snow, or if your teacher has missed no lessons. Remember, June is still payable. Most lessons will go to the 2nd or 3rd week of June in order to complete the 36 lessons. Check with your teacher about when is your last lesson for this 24-25 school year.

Summer opportunities

"Summer" at Forte is referring to July & August. Please remember you will have the option to

continue regular lessons,

participate in Piano Guts,

composition week

rhythm week with Buckets, Cups & Whackers.

More details about those are in the previous website post. At, or just prior to the recital, we will be asking for your intentions concerning this time. Some of you will choose to take off these months. That's okay too.

"We are so pleased with our son’s experience at Forte Piano. Donna makes the lessons enjoyable and provides songs she feels the student will enjoy. She also does a great job affirming our son, and it is a blessing for us that he enjoys his lessons and feels comfortable asking questions. I highly recommend Donna and Forte Piano music studio."
